Spoons is a cooperative, turn-based, card-playing online educational game. In the world of mental health, the colloquial term "Spoons" has been gaining popularity in recent years. The term "Spoons" refers to a unit or measure of expendable energy. For example, waking up takes one spoon, getting out of bed takes another spoon, and so forth. Those with mental illnesses, such as Depression, usually have far less Spoons than the average person.

Spoons is an educational game designed to allow a group of people to experience a week in the life of somebody with Depression. Players each take turns to attempt to help Jimmy (the protagonist) through a week of his life. To do this, Players must balance Jimmy's mental and physical health, while conserving spoons at the same time. Jimmy will face multiple obstacles and challenges, that Players must work together to overcome.

Spoons is not an easy game, by any stretch of the imagination. It is extremely hard on the easiest difficulty level, and virtually impossible at the hardest difficulty levels. Spoons was designed as an educational tool, for psychology classes, or the families of those who suffer from Depression.
